IT Equipment Pick-Ups

What equipment do you accept for recycling?

How do I schedule a pick-up with Bass Computer Recycling (BCI)?

Please contact our Recycling/IT Asset Disposal department at 281-776-6762. A Bass representative will discuss the options and services available based on the quantity and type of technology you have for disposal and the location of your facility. We will then be happy to schedule a free on-site estimate to determine the value of your end-of-life electronics and to discuss scheduling a pick-up.

 How much will it cost my organization to recycle with Bass Computer Recycling (BCI)

Our Recycling/IT Asset Disposal Specialist will work with you to custom-design a solution for you based on your disposal needs. We qualify our customers and we do not charge for a pickup. Depending on the recycled electronics, customers frequently receive a check or a credit back based on the market value of their IT equipment.

  What happens to the data contained on my recycled technology?

The security of your data is of top priority to us. All items containing data are either erased using a DOD 3 pass wipe or the media and hard drives are shredded with our hard drive shredder. We also offer shredding services at your location.

 What type of documentation will we receive to ensure our equipment was handled properly? 

Bass Computer Recycling (BCI) will provide you with a Certificate of Recycling and a Certificate of Data Destruction. We can also provide a complete inventory listing the equipment, serial numbers, and asset tag numbers.

 When will I receive the documentation? 

The Certificate of Recycling, Certificate of Data Destruction, and inventory will be emailed to you within 30 days after the pick-up.

 What happens to my recycled electronics? 

We will process the equipment received at our facility. If it is determined that the equipment has resale value, Bass Computer Recycling (BCI) will clean, test, and refurbish the electronic equipment and prepare it for resale. With over 25 years experience in the technology industry, we have numerous channels available to remarket your technology and work hard to maximize your return on investment. All equipment not fit for resale is de-manufactured for sorting and recycling.

How should I package my electronics?

Please call your Bass sales representative about packaging.

Can I drop off electronics for recycling at your facility?

Yes. While Bass Computer Recycling (BCI) specializes in recycling for corporations, education, healthcare, and government institutions, we will happily accept certain equipment dropped off at our facility. Please see Electronics Accepted for Recycling/Refurbishment for a complete list of the items we accept.

Where can I drop off my end-of-life computers and electronics?

We are located at 10558 Bissonnet St. Houston, TX 77099. You can pull around to the back of the building to bay door #19. Press the red button and someone will assist you.

What are your hours of operation?

We are open Monday-Friday from 9am to 6pm for equipment drop-off.

Is there a charge for dropping off my IT equipment?

No, in general, we do not charge for dropping off electronics. However, if you are only dropping off the equipment listed below, the following fees will apply:
CRTs: $5 per CRT
TVs: $15 per TV
Hard Drives (to be shredded): $4 per drive
